This year, it has been a battle between the OnePlus One and the Xiaomi Mi4 in the affordable flagship category. Both these devices were launched in India and follow the online only sales model. These two devices are probably the most popular high end smartphones in the Rs 20000 price range. With Xiaomi reducing the price of Mi4 in India, the battle even gets stronger. But now we have another great device from ASUS, the Zenfone 2.

The Zenfone 2 is launched in India and comes in different variants. The top end variants which will be competing with OnePlus One and Mi4 is the ZE551ML with 4GB RAM. This is the first smartphone to launch with 4GB RAM and it also comes with similar specs to that of the competition. So here is a quick specs comparison of Zenfone 2 with Mi4 and OnePlus One.

Based on the specs, there isn’t much of difference in terms of specs. The Zenfone 2 has 4GB RAM while the other two devices have 3GB RAM. While the Zenfone 2 and OnePlus One comes with 5.5 inch Full HD display, Mi4 is for smaller hands at 5 inch display. One of the interesting aspects of Zenfone 2 especially for a market like India is the support for dual SIM cards which is missing on the other two devices.

While the Zenfone 2 and OnePlus One has 4G LTE support in India, the Mi4 features only 3G. All the three devices have custom OS on top of Android, while Zenfone 2 runs Android 5.0 Lollipop, the other two are KitKat based (5.0 update for OnePlus One is rolling out).

If you want bigger screen and updates, probably the One Plus One makes better sense.

Hi. I seriously have only these three in mind but I shall put forth my dilemma…

OnePlus one is clearly very good amongst existing phones(zen just rolled out), but reviews worldwide , especially in India comment on our quality/defective product and based service. I am using redmi 1s and only outside is heating, and mi4 is worse, say users.
Zenfone is froma trusted company but very new, I completely like it, but despite the ram, the Intel chipset does not pull off great benchmark scores(despite being great)

Please help me to the soonest.
Is one Plus worth the risk, considering it’s also quite old now?

There are no issues with my device… This is a flawless phone. Before buying i read somewhere online that cyanogen does not provide pta updates for Indian users.. But on my device till now 3 updates have been automatically applied.. Including the android 5… I don’t find any issues with the phone. The only thing that u will have to buy earphones at ur own..

And about the delivery… We ordered with guaranteed 1 day delivery… So received the very next day. I don’t know about the service as I have not faced any issues yet.. But there is a nearby service sentre address and phone number was mentioned on my box.. So in case I need then I don’t have to search for one.

Am looking for a phone in the range of 20-25k. Generally a Good camera, good battery backup, browsing speed, hardl or no gaming, email, . Good battery is a must, and excellent after sales support.

    Using Samsung Galaxy S3 presently.

Am terribly confused between One plus One, Zenphone 2 (4gb RAM, 64 GB ), and Samsung A7. Not considering Xiaomi MI 4..

Dual SIM may be advantageous but not necessary a criterion.

Hi..! Guys were you all confusing between opo,mi4 and zenfone2(4gb).? Well while buying oneplus one(opo) u have aware of ghost touches yes the mobile has a problem of ghost touches and the company itself agreed it while luking at mi4 the mobile performs well absolutely well in all senarios but the problem is heating more because of its stainless steel sitting at sides of mobile and lack of dualsim,4g,sd card slot were big minusus as well but mi4 has probably the best camera which is listed top10 mobiles with best cameras and coming to zenfone 2 it has whooping 4gb ram intel atom 2.2 ghz processor takes u to the cloud9 you cant notice any lags or glitches but if u want to go for zenfone2 u have to compramise for camera as it has just okay camera
