Best Gaming Smartphone below Rs 15000

Towards the second half of 2014, we saw massive change in the hardware of mid range and budget segment. While these devices came with great quality hardware and performance, the pricing was kept low, thanks to the entry of Xiaomi in India.

Xiaomi continued their excellent pricing with Redmi Note as well. Meanwhile Micromax announced new brand Yu in partnership with Cyanogen and launched Yureka. Other Indian OEMs like XOLO also made an impact in budget segment with some great phones.

So here is a list of best gaming smartphones (above 5 inch and HD display) below a price of Rs 15000 in India.

Moto G

The new Moto G comes with 5 inch HD display, 1280 X 720p and has Corning Gorilla Glass protection. The device runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 Quad Core processor with 1GB RAM and it comes with 16GB internal storage which is expandable via MicroSD card. The new Moto G also comes with Android 4.4.4 KitKat out of the box. Since Moto G is one of the popular devices and it comes with the tried and tested Snapdragon 400 chipset with HD display, it is good for gaming.

Micromax Canvas Nitro

It has a 5-inch  (1280 x 720 pixels) IPS display, powered by a 1.7 GHz octa-core MediaTek processor and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat). It also comes with a 13-megapixel auto focus rear camera with LED Flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. Since it has an Octa core processor with 2GB RAM, it should provide with decent gaming experience in the sub 15000 price range.

ASUS Zenfone 5

ASUS Zenfone 5  comes with great specs for a mid range phone and has 5.0 inch HD display and is powered by a dual Core Intel Atom processor with 2GB of RAM. This is probably the first device to come with 2GB RAM in the sub 10k price range in India. The phone also comes with 8GB or 16GB storage options and has 2110 mAh battery. The Intel Atom processor has great performance and is suited for gaming.

Alcatel One Touch Flash

Alcatel One Touch sports a 5.5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS Full lamination display. The device is powered by a Octa-Core MediaTek MT6592M processor and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat). On the imaging front, It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. It has 1GB RAM and 8GB internal memory which is expandable memory up to 32GB with microSD.

Xolo Omega 5.5

The device comes with a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display. It is powered by a 1.4 GHz Octa-Core MediaTek MT6592M processor with Mali 450 GPU and runs Android 4.4 (KitKat)-based HIVE UI. The company has promised Android 5.0 (Lollipop) update for all HIVE UI devices. On the imaging front 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, Sony EXMOR RS sensor, 1080p video recording and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. The device also features 1GB RAM and 8GB of internal storage with expansion slot.

Redmi Note 4G

The Redmi Note 4G comes with comes with a 5.5 inch HP display with IPS technology and is powered by a 1.6Ghz Snapdragon 400 processor with Adreno 305. The device has 2GB of RAM and also comes with 8GB internal storage which is expandable to 64GB via microSD card.The phone also comes with a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP camera for video calls and Selfie. It runs on Android 4.4 KitKat with MIUI and also has 3200mAh battery. This device is pretty good for gaming with the big display and the Snapdragon processor.

Yu Yureka

The device sports 5.5-inch HD display and is powered by Snapdragon 615 Octa Core processor  and runs Android 4.4.2 Kitkat. It also features 2 GB RAM and 16 GB of internal storage with expansion slot and also packs 2500mAh battery. On the imaging front, the phone comes with a 13MP rear camera with LED flash. The rear camera has a Sony Exmor RS IMX135 sensor and f/2.2 aperture. The front camera is a 5MP unit with 71 degree wide angle lens. The Snapdragon 615 chipset is pretty good for gaming.
