When Samsung released the Galaxy Note back in 2011, it was a huge success because the form factor was something new (although there were many released before) and it also had the latest Android OS. The success of Note, made way for Note II which was well accepted phone. Seeing the success of phablets, many manufactures have stepped in to make large screen phones. Apart from the high end phablets available today, many low end phone brands have also released cheaper Android phablets. While you may not get the best experience like the high end phablets, you still get a lot of value for your money with these low end phablets. These low end phablets will be useful for a budget concise market like India.

There are many brands which have released their phablets and we had covered some of them in our previous article. Today we will see some of the best phablets you can buy in the sub Rs 10000 price range. Although there are quite a lot of them available in this range, don’t expect to get great performance.

1. Micromax A101:

Micromax A101 is 5.0 inches phablet with 480 x 800 pixels resolution. It is powered by a 1Ghz dual core processor with 512MB RAM and 2GB on board memory which can be expanded to 32GB via microSD card. It features a 5 MP camera with LED flash. It is priced at Rs. 9999.

2. Lava Iris 502:

Iris 502 runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and powered by a 1GHz processor. It also comes with 2000mAh battery which can last for 9 hours. It has a 5-megapixel camera with AF, VGA front-facing camera and 2GB on board memory which can be expanded to 32GB. It is priced at Rs 8,499.

3. Lava Iris 501:

Iris 501 is another 5.0 inch phablet which runs on a 1Ghz dual core processor which makes even the heaviest of application run smooth. The screen resolution is 800x480p and approximately 186ppi pixel density. It is powered with a 512MB RAM and comes with 4GB onboard memory, with microSD support up to 32GB. There is a 5MP unit with LED flash on the rear, while a VGA unit features on the front side. It is priced at Rs 9,499.

4. Intex Aqua 5:

Intex Aqua 5 is a 5-inch (800 x 480 Pixels) capacitive touch screen phablet and is powered by a 1 GHz dual-core processor. It runs on Android 4.0 (ICS) and has a 5MP auto focus camera with LED flash at the back and a 1.3MP front-facing camera for video calling. It is currently priced at Rs. 8990.

Byond B66 is a 5-inch (800 x 480 Pixels) capacitive multi-touch touch display, powered by a 1.2 GHz processor and runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It also has a 8MP auto focus camera with LED flash, 0.3MP front-facing camera for video calls and comes with a 2600 mAh battery. It is currently priced below Rs. 10000.

Byond B65 is yet another 5.0 inch tablet with a WVGA, 800 x 480 Pixels resolution and it runs on Android ICS. It is powered by 1.2 GHz dual core processor and has 512 MB RAM, 4GB internal memory and 32GB expandable via microSD card. It also features a 8 MP Primary Camera and 1.3 MP front camera for video calling. It is priced at Rs 9100.

7. Karbonn A30:

Karbonn A30 is one of the biggest budget phablets at an impressive 5.9 inch screen. It runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and features a 8 MP rear camera, 1.3 MP front camera and powered by 1GHz dual core processor, 512 MB RAM. It also has 2500 mAh battery. It is priced around Rs 10000.

8. Micromax Canvas Viva A72:

Micromax A72 Canvas Viva sports a 5-inch (480 x 800 Pixels) display and Android 2.3 Gingerbread. It will be powered by 1GHz processor along with 256MB of RAM. The other specifications include 3-megapixel rear camera, VGA front camera, 2,000mAh battery, 2G (EDGE support) and 110 MB of internal storage, which can be expanded by up to 16GB with microSD card. It is a dual-SIM phone that supports GSM frequency in both the SIM.

It is priced at around Rs 6999.
