Today, while most of the smartphones come with features like wireless charging, NFC etc., there has been no major improvement in the battery backup. Most of the high end smartphones are able to hold the battery charge only for a day with 3G or 4G LTE connectivity. The battery backup is a a major issue while you travel and most of the time you end up with low battery or no battery.
Although you can carry portable battery or chargers, it is better to have a battery case which will provide you with battery as well as act as a protective cover. With an ergonomic design, the Power Jacket provides you with back-up battery pack for Nokia Lumia 920. It can be used as a protective cover, protects your Nokia Lumia 920 from strong momentum and provides excellent console protection. The build quality of the charger case is pretty good, with a glossy finish similar to the Lumia 920. It is also light weight and does not add up much to the weight, but since the phone is already on the heavier side you might find this a bit odd to use on a daily basis.
The top portion has a slider mechanism by which you can insert the phone into the cover. The bottom area houses the micro USB socket which needs to be inserted into the phone. Once you insert the phone, you can lock it and the phone fits neatly in the slot without any movement.
The right side of the jacket has sufficient opening for accessing the buttons (volume keys, camera and the power button).
At the bottom you can find the micro USB slot for charging the battery case. As per Brando, it is not advisable to charge the phone when you are charging the case. There is also opening for speakers on the either side of the USB slot.
If you want to watch movies on your Lumia 920 while charging, there is also a kickstand attached to it. You can simply pull it and watch videos. Although the kickstand is a bit delicate, it does the job pretty decently. While using the charger, we found a couple of calls getting disconnected, but we are not completely sure if Power Jacket is causing it.
At the back of the case is the opening for camera and flash and it also includes the button to switch on the charging. There are LED lights to show the charging and the remaining charge available. Power Jacket comes with a 2200 mAh battery which means it can give you extra battery power of one Lumia.
