We had previously covered an awesome app, Soluto, which can speed up your Windows booting time by removing unnecessary apps from the boot. The app provides detailed stats on the boot time and also recommends which apps can be removed from boot. Soluto has now released a new web based remote desktop management tool for Windows which allows you to perform multiple tasks remotely from a web browser.
The new web interface allows you to check for updates for installed app, Windows updates, apps which are started with boot, browser extension, default browser and much more using a simple web interface. To get started, you need to create an account with Soluto and then install their desktop tool to fetch the details about the PC.
Once the desktop app is installed, you can connect your PC to the web interface by logging into your free account registered. You might need to reboot your PC for the first time when using this app to get the applications which are started with booting.
Soluto classifies the apps which are running with boot into different categories including the ones which can be removed from booting process to make it faster. You can simply remove any app from booting process from the web interface and it is reflected on your PC using the desktop app. The frustration level gives info about non-responsive apps and crashes that have recently occurred on the PC.
You can also update all the installed apps to latest version as Soluto finds new updates available for applications installed. This is useful if you are physically not present in front of your PC. You can update apps selectively or all in one go.
It also check the PC protection by checking for Firewall, Antivirus and also available Windows update. You can install latest Windows updates from the web interface.
In the browser section, you can change the default browser, remove or uninstall extensions or add-ons from all the installed browsers on your PC. You can also set the homepage and change the search engine.
The hardware section is last section which provides lots of technical info about the PC’s hardware including CPU temperature, fan speed, battery health, available disk space and more.
You can add up to 5 PCs for one interface which means this can be used to provide remote assistance to someone who needs help with the PC settings. Soluto web version is really handy tool to manage your Windows from a browser.
