The taskbar on Windows 7 has been one of its strong features and we had covered a free tool to change the taskbar colors in Windows 7. Aero Taskbar Color Changer is another freeware tool which allows you to set any color as taskbar color even though the theme has a different color enabled. This is pretty useful tool as by default Microsoft has provided with a set of predefined colors only. Using this free tool, you can set any color as taskbar color.
The app is portable and runs from the system tray, you can right click and select Change Taskbar Color. This opens the standard Windows color picker available in MS Paint. You can select any color from the list.
You need to have the Aero enabled for the theme for this tool to work. This freeware only affects the Windows 7 taskbar and does not change the color of Windows Explorer, start menu etc.
