File back up is very important aspect when dealing with soft copies of your important files. Although there are many online back up services, backing up files with an email would definitely be the simplest of options. Backup Elf is an incredibly versatile service that turns the actual backing of files into something as easy as sending an email. By merely sending out an email to [email protected] you will have everything in the email backed up.

Backup

The backup includes the subject, the body of the message and all the attachments that you included. These can be documents, videos, or files of any kind – it is all the same, Backup Elf will take care of backing them up for good

The free account provides 100Mb of space to back up your files and this could be handy for email and small attachments.

Here is short video of how this service works.

There are paid plans which have better storage space, which you can choose based on your requirement.

I don’t think backup big file with email is a good way.

first, it will split big file into too many pieces, for instance, one pieces is 2M, and 200M file will be splited into 100 pieces, in other words, you will have 100 emails to store such one big file.

second, public email server will stop connection if software upload/download a big file takes much time, so it will looks like a unstable backup service .
