2010 World Cup Stadiums in 3D and Google Street View

If you are a soccer fan, then the most important event for you would definitely be the 2010 world cup to be held in South Africa. Although majority of us would be watching the matches live on TV, you can still get a view of all the stadiums in Google Maps. With just days to go before the tournament kicks off, football fans can start soaking up the atmosphere in seven of South Africa’s soccer stadiums in 3D view and also Google Street view.

Complete 3D models of all 10 stadiums hosting the matches, as well as many host cities which can be viewed in Google Earth, you can them out on the SketchUp Blog. All the images were shot with Google’s special Street View trike, which is able to reach places the cars can’t.
