In India, one of the most competitive segment is the budget segment which is below Rs 10,000 and this is where a large number of smartphones are sold. With a lot of Chinese OEMs entering India, we have seen a massive change in the offering in the budget segment.

1. Xiaomi Redmi Note 3

Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 is the latest budget phone from Xiaomi and it packs a 5.5 inch Full HD display and is powered by Snapdragon 650 processor with 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage. It comes with Android Lollipop and has MIUI 7. On the imaging front, it has 16MP rear camera and 5MP front camera for selfies. The Zenfone Max is the first smartphone from the company with a massive battery. The Zenfone Max comes with 5.5-inch IPS HD (1280 x 720p) display with wide viewing angles, protected by the latest Corning Gorilla Glass 4 and is powered by 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor with up to 2GB of RAM. Coolpad Note 3 comes with a 5.5 inch HD (1280 X 720P) display and is powered by 1.3GHz Octa-Core 64-bit MediaTek MT6753 processor with Mali-T720 MP2 GPU. The phone comes with 3GB of RAM and there is 16GB internal storage which can be expanded via SD card.

On the imaging front, the phone packs a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera with LED flash with auto focus and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with a CMOS image sensor. Samsung Galaxy On7 comes with a 5.5 inch HD display (720p) and is powered by a  1.2GHz quad-core processor Snapdragon 410 processor and has a 13-megapixel rear camera. It also comes with 5MP front camera. The On7 also has 1.5GB RAM and 8GB internal storage which is expandable via Micro SD card. The On7 also gets a 3000mAh battery. There is dual SIM card along with 4G LTE support.

5. Samsung Galaxy J3 (2016):

Samsung Galaxy J3 (2016) comes with 5 inch Super AMOLED screen HD display and is powered by a quad-core processor with Spreadtrum SC9830 64-bit processor with Mali-400 GPU and coupled with 1.5GB of RAM. There is only 8GB internal storage available, but you can expand via micro SD card.

It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with custom Touchwiz UI from Samsung. On the imaging front, it has 8MP rear camera and 5MP front camera for selfies. The device is priced Rs 8,999.

6. Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus:

The Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus comes with 5 inch Full HD (1920 X 1080p) display and is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 616 octa-core processor coupled with 2GB of RAM, and 16GB internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 32GB using a microSD card.
