The sides of the device are curved and is made of metal. The left side houses the SIM tray which is micro + nano and also is a hybrid, which means you can use the second SIM card as micro SD card as well.
The right side has the power and volume keys integrated. The rear panel the projected camera unit along with dual tone LED flash and fingerprint scanner below it. The speaker unit is located at the bottom section of the rear panel. The top houses the audio jack while the micro USB is located at the bottom. Overall, the Yutopia is a well-built phone with good build quality and feels good in hands with the compact form factor.
The phone comes with a 5.2 inch Quad HD (2560×1440) display protected by Corning Concore glass. The display quality looks good and the colors are also good on it. The touch response was also smooth and the viewing angles were again good. Overall, the display feels vibrant to use. The phone has 32GB internal storage and comes with 24.5GB of storage in the first boot. There is also micro SD expansion slot upto 64GB, but you will have to compromise on second SIM card.
The phone runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop with Cyanogen OS 12.1 on top of it. The phone is highly customizable with support for themes. It comes with all the sensors you need on a flagship including 6-Axis Accelerometer, Gyroscope, Light sensor, Proximity sensor, Barometer, eCompass, Fingerprint sensor. In the initial testing, we found the device to be very capable in terms of performance as it runs on the Snapdragon 810 Octa-core chipset with 4GB of RAM. But the disappointing aspect is the fingerprint scanner which is easy to configure but works only 60% of the time. We are sure this can be fixed with software updates. After half an hour of usage, we did feel some heat generated on the back panel.
Yutopia packs a 21-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and 4K video recording capabilities for shutterbugs and there is an 8MP selfie camera. The camera performance looks good in the initial testing, we will have detailed camera review soon, so stay tuned. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac and Bluetooth 4.1. The camera also has Slo-mo HD video at 120 FPS.
The phone also packs a 3000mAh battery with support for fast charging.
The phone is priced Rs 24,999 and available exclusively on Amazon. We will have the detailed review coming up on our blog soon, meanwhile do check out our YouTube channel for more videos on this device.
