4 Reasons Why I like Bluehost
ADVERTISEMENTSThis blog shifted to Bluehost on June 7th 2007 after having severe downtimes with my previous hosting. Ever since the shift, the performances has been simply superb. Bluehost was able to handle all the traffic without any downtimes. One of my friends, Arpit told me that he did a monitoring of few blogs hosted on different hosting providers and found that blogs hosted on Bluehost had the least downtimes (including this blog). So, here are 4 reasons why I like Bluehost.
- Bluehost hosting packages have all the features and also economical. 300GB storage space and 3000GB of bandwidth with unlimited domain hosting.
- 27/7 customer support is one of the best features of Bluehost. They have a live chat by which we can directly chat with a customer care agent round the clock(24/7) for any issues.
- After moving to Bluehost, my blog had virtually no downtimes. It is one of the service which has least downtimes comparing with other services and very reliable also.
- Use friendly cPanel which is Ajax enabled. cPanel has clear and easy navigation with Fantastico enabled which has all the blogging and content management softwares. Its very easy for a newbie to install and use softwares. You can also try out a demo of cPanel.
To sum up, with Bluehost you get high customer service satisfaction, best quality equipment, a guaranteed uptime, highly functional administrative tools, secure and reliable routine backups and a 24/7 support staff.

I just love reading all these testimonials of a good host. A fast-responding and efficient live-chat or technical support is clearly very important.

I’ve been happy with BlueHost since I first started The Far Corner. I did have a problem which turned out to be due to a problem with a WordPress plugin rather than BlueHost (and the developer kindly fixed the plugin too).
Good price and good hosting.

@Nirmal
Bluehost they are definitely one of the best hosts available around but i ve heard recently that now they are overselling..Its good to see your experience s with bluehost are +ve
Sep 10th, 2007 at 2:19 pm
@Shashank,
Overselling? I didnt get you on this point? What exactly did you mean here?
Sep 10th, 2007 at 5:24 pm
300GB storage space and 3000GB of bandwidth is nothing but overselling, means sell more resources than what you have, assuming maximum people will not use them.
Generally a server contain 160GB hard disk or 250GB hard disk and a server cost more than $200 per month, how can they give 300GB disk space for $6 PM anyway overselling is not bad thing if done properly.
Sep 10th, 2007 at 5:58 pm
@Ashok,
That means all the web hosting services are overselling, doesnt it? I think Bluehost offers lesser when compared to others like MT and lunar pages. So in general I can say “All hosting services oversell”, from your comment. Is that right?
Sep 10th, 2007 at 6:17 pm
Overselling is one of the biggest marketing tactics in hosting industry, as people give too much weight to web space and bandwidth while buying. Overselling has become trend now in hosting industry.
Sep 10th, 2007 at 7:22 pm
@Ashok,
This is a good tactic, I dont think there is any problem in this method unless they are unable to provide you with the actuals when you come closer to it. I should say its the best tactic.

i’ve signed up with blue host a couple of months ago, and am seriously considering transfering my blog. i’m fed up of my current host being down.
Sep 11th, 2007 at 3:56 pm
@JennyHow,
If your current host is down, then you should seriously consider moving to Bluehost as this will reduce your readers with frequent downtimes.
Sep 11th, 2007 at 7:01 pm
@Nirmal
Yes most of the hosts today oversell their resources ..it isn’t a bad thing until they are ready to upgrade when need arises.
