How to Change the Default Icon for Removable Drives Cómo cambiar el icono por defecto para las unidades extraíbles
If you are bored seeing the default look of removable drives in Windows, here is a simple tutorial on how to change the default look. The Removable drive looks like this, without any customizations and its confusing if you have more than one drives connected to your PC. The default look of Removable drives like USB pen drives, Memory cards for phones and cameras can be changes using these 3 simple steps. El valor por defecto de mirar unidades extraíbles como llaveros USB, tarjetas de memoria para teléfonos y cámaras pueden ser cambios de uso de estos 3 pasos sencillos.
1. First step is to find a good icon which will represent the removable drive. 1. El primer paso es encontrar un buen icono que representará la unidad extraíble. Make sure that the image has . ico extension. Asegúrese de que la imagen tiene. Ico extensión.
2. Open Notepad. 2. Abra el Bloc de notas. Type in whatever is given in the image. Escriba todo lo que se da en la imagen.
Here Label denotes the text which you want to display in My Computer when the drive is connected and Icon represents the icon image name. Aquí Etiqueta indica el texto que desea mostrar en Mi PC cuando la unidad está conectada y el Icono representa el icono de nombre de la imagen. Save this file as autorun.inf. Guardar este archivo como autorun.inf.
3. Copy both files ( autorun.inf and Icon file ) to your removable drive. 3. Copie ambos archivos (autorun.inf y el Icono de archivo) a su unidad extraíble. You can make both files as hidden, if don’t want to see those files when you are connected to drive Usted puede hacer tanto como archivos ocultos, si no quiere ver esos archivos cuando se está conectado a la unidad
Now unplug the drive and connect it back to USB and now you can see the effect of your customizations. Ahora, desenchufe la unidad y conecte de nuevo a USB y ahora usted puede ver el efecto de estas personalizaciones.

Nice tip! Niza punta! Every time I use a USB card reader for SD cards, the icon looks like a bunch of others I have. that can be done by tweaking registry, if u are not aware of that, better get some tweaking software, lots of such softwares are available.. que se puede hacer modificando registro, u si no son conscientes de que, mejor que ajustar algunos programas informáticos, muchos de esos programas están disponibles ..
