Xiaomi has announced their latest smartphone in the A series, the Mi A3 and similar to the previous two devices, the Mi A3 is also under the Android One platform. The phone runs on Android 9.0 out of the box and is powered by Snapdragon 665 chipset with either 4GB or 6GB of RAM. The device has 4000mAh battery and also comes with triple rear camera and 32MP selfie camera. The device pricing starts at Rs 12,999 for the 4GB RAM. If you are looking to buy a new smartphone, here are the 5 features to look for in Xiaomi Mi A3.

1. Android One and Software updates:

Updates for Android is still one of the major issues when it comes to budget smartphones. But when the phone is under Android One platform, it means updates are promised for 2 years. Xiaomi Mi A3 is under the Android One platform. It runs on Android 9.0 and will be one of the first devices to get Android 10 when it launches officially. It will also be getting all the security patches for the next two years. This is definitely one of the highlights of the device.

2. Triple Rear Cameras and 32MP Selfie Camera:

Camera is one of the most important thing people look for in any smartphone and Xiaomi has covered Mi A3 with good set of cameras. It features the Sony IMX586 sensor with a secondary 8MP ultra wide angle camera and 2MP depth sensing camera. There is also night mode and portrait modes available along with 4K UHD recording. Xiaomi Mi A3 comes with glass finish on the front and back panel. Even though Redmi Note 7 Pro also features glass build, the Mi A3 feels premium, thanks to the curved back panel and also the availability of white color. It is a compact phone and easy to use with one hand. Mi A3 is without doubt, the most premium looking smartphone below Rs 15,000.

The in-display fingerprint scanner is a feature which was first made available in 2018 and now it is getting more and more popular in the sub 20k price segment. With Mi A3, the in-display fingerprint scanner is coming to sub 15k price segment and it is also the cheapest smartphone available with in-display fingerprint scanner.
