Lenovo has announced the successor of last year’s Vibe X2, the Lenovo Vibe X3 today in China. While the Lenovo Vibe X2 was a multi layered device, the Vibe X3 does not have any resemblance to the design. The Vibe X3 sports a 5.5-inch displays with Full HD resolution (1920 X 1080p) and comes wth Gorilla Glass 3 protection.
Unlike previous generation device, the Vibe X3 comes in two variants, the main variant has Snapdragon 808 Hexa core processor coupled with 3GB of RAM. The internal storage is either 32GB or 64GB and also comes with micro SD card expansion slot.
On the imaging front, there is 23MP primary camera which uses a Sony IMX230 sensor with phase detection autofocus and also supports 4K video recording. The front-facing camera is 8MP. The battery also supports Qualcomm’s QuickCharge 2.0.
The other variant (also called as Youth) comes with a 1.3Ghz Mediatek Octa core processor coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage. This variant also comes with smaller battery of 3400mAh when compared to 3600mAh on the first variant. The Youth variant has a downgraded camera unit with 13MP rear camera and 5MP front camera for selfies.
Both the variants have dual SIM cards and 4G LTE capabilities. There is also a fingerprint sensor located on the rear panel of the device along with the camera. The phone has Texas Instruments OPA1612 amplifiers, a Cirrus Logic WM8281 codec for noise and echo cancellation and comes with Dolby Atmos support.
Pricing:
As of now the prices in China are CNY 2,999 ($470) for the top-end variant (64GB), CNY 2,499 ($390) for the 32GB version, and the Youth variant is priced CNY 1,899 ($300). There is no mention on the international availability as of now.
