How To View Your Instagram Reels Watch History

We all know that Instagram as a social networking and video-sharing platform has been a huge success. People are uploading millions of reels and videos to Instagram and this trend continues during the holiday season as most people will be on vacation. People watch many videos/reels on Instagram daily and now what if you want to find out a reel you watched recently but don’t recollect the account? If you want to view your Instagram Reels watch history, here are two options to get that information from Instagram.

How To View Your Instagram Reels Watch History: 

While there is no direct way to see all the Instagram reels you have watched with your account, there is an option to see your activity on Instagram.

Step 1: Open Instagram on your desktop browser and log in with your account.

Step 2: At the bottom left corner you will be able to see a more button, click on it.

Step 3: From the menu, you will be able to see the “Your Activity” option, select it.

Step 4: This will take you to your activity page. In the first tab, you will be able to see Interactions. When you select this option, you can see 4 menu options at the top. This includes the likes, comments, story replies, and reviews you have posted on Instagram from your feed.

This list will give you a rough idea about your activity. But the drawback of this option is that if you have not interacted with a reel, then it will not show up in this list. So this list will not give you the entire watch history as it is extremely difficult to maintain the entire history.

Another option is to download the information from your account and sort it. You can use the same tab to download the account information. You will be able to see an option “Download your Information”. Select this option and you will be able to see the continue button.

In the next step, you can choose to download the information by selecting the account for which you want to do it.

Once you have downloaded the information (it will be in zip format), you can unzip it and see all the activity from your account. Once again, this will not have any information on reels where you have not interacted.

Is there any other method? As of now, No. There are no other solid options to view your reel history. But unlike stories, reels will be there on the account where it was posted and will not be deleted unless the creator deleted it. So in case you remember the account name, you can search for the name and get the reel details.
