Few weeks back we had covered the schedule of Android Lollipop update roll out for Honor series of phones in India. After releasing the Android 5.1 Lollipop update for Honoe 4C, Honor 6 and Honor 6 Plus in September, the company has now released the Android 5.1 update for Honor 4X in India.
Honor 4X came with Android KitKat out of the box with a custom EMUI.

The upgrade to Lollipop is not available OTA, but you need to download the update and manually install it. The process is pretty simple and you just need to download the update file which is close to 1GB in download size. Transfer this file to the phone internal storage and using the updater app, select this package to get the Lollipop update on the device.
Just like Honor 6 and 6 Plus, the Lollipop update for Honor 4X brings in timelapse photography to the device.
