Best 4G LTE Smartphones below Rs 5000

4G LTE penetration in India is growing at a fast pace. Now that Airtel has launched 4G in almost 300 cities, other mobile operators are also looking to roll out 4G in India. Device manufacturers are also coming out with 4G devices. This year will be the year when India might see 4G LTE roll out across multiple locations. Taking this into consideration, lot of mobile OEMs are not focusing on 4G LTE supported handsets as India supports TD LTE.

In the last couple of months, we have seen new 4G supported phones coming to India in the mid range and also the budget category. The Redmi 2 initially set the benchmark in the sub 7k price point and now we have other great devices in the budget category with 4G support. So here is a list of 4G LTE supported phone below Rs 5000 in India. We will be updating the list when new devices launch in India.

Yu Yunique:

Yunique is a budget and affordable device priced Rs 4999 and comes with a 4.7 inch HD display and is powered by Snapdragon 410 Quad core processor with 1GB RAM. There is 8GB internal storage and it runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop. It also features 8MP rear camera with LED flash and front 2MP camera. On the connectivity front, the phone has 4G LTE support along with Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi and micro USB. The phone also has 2000mAh battery.

Lenovo A2010:

Lenovo A2010 comes with a 4.5 inch FWVGA display (854 X 480 pixels) and the phone is powered by 1 GHz MediaTek MT6735M 64-bit Quad Core processor coupled with 1GB of RAM. The device also comes with 8GB internal storage which is expandable to 32GB via micro SDcard. This is the cheapest 4G LTE device from Lenovo in India.

The phone comes with a removable 2000mAh battery and is available in black and white colors and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop.

ZTE Blade Q Lux 4G:

ZTE Blade Q Lux 4G sports a 4.5-inch (854 x 480 pixels) IPS display. It is powered by  1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6732M 64-bit processor and runs Android 4.4 (KitKat), Upgradable to Android 5.0. On the imaging front it features 8MP rear camera with LED Flash and 5MP front-facing camera.  It also features 1GB RAM and 8GB internal memory which is expandable upto up to 32GB using microSD card.  The device sports Dual (micro) SIM and connectivity features include 4G LTE/3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, GLONASS. It also packs a 2200mAh battery. It is priced at Rs. 4,999.

Phicomm Energy 653 sports 5-inch (1280 × 720 pixels) HD display. It is powered by 1.1 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 (MSM8909) processor and runs Android 5.1 (Lollipop). It has 1GB RAM and 8GB internal memory which is  expandable memory up to 64GB with micro SD. On the imaging front, it features 8MP Auto Focus Camera with LED flash and 2MP front-facing camera. The device supports Dual SIM and connectivity features include 4G LTE / 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. It also packs a 2230mAh battery. It comes with a price tag of Rs. 4,999.
