Samsung has just announced the new Galaxy S6 Active which is a IP certified variant of the popular Galaxy S6. It gives you the durability you want while boasting a sleek, lightweight design and all of the innovation the Galaxy S 6 has to offer. The device sports a 5.1-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED display with 577ppi and is powered by Octa-core 64-bit processor from Exynos (7420) and features 3GB RAM.
The device has 32GB of internal storage and there is no expansion slot similar to the Galaxy S6.
Samsung Galaxy S 6 active has IP68 certified casing that is water resistant up to 1.5 meters for up to 30 minutes, shock resistant, and dust proof. The Samsung Galaxy S6 active features a 3500mAh and embedded wireless charging technology that works with most wireless charging pads on the market. On the camera front, the device packs a 16MP rear camera and a front 5MP camera for selfies and video calls. The phone also comes with Activity Zone, which is the ideal companion for outdoor adventures, and includes a quick launching compass, flashlight, stopwatch, and more.
The phone runs Android 5.0.2 Lollipop out of the box with the custom UI from Samsung. The device is exclusive to AT&T in US and will come in Camo White, Camo Blue, or Gray colors.
