Over the past couple of months, Microsoft has been talking about the new browser on Windows 10. The recent build also has the new browser called Project Spartan. Project Spartan was just a code name for the new browser and we already covered the first impressions on this browser.

At the BUILD conference today, Microsoft announced the new web browser on Windows 10- Microsoft Edge. Edge will be the successor of Internet Explorer on Windows 10.

Microsoft Edge

Edge comes with a minimalistic UI as we saw on the first version on developer preview. It comes with all features in a simple interface. It will also support web extensions similar to Chrome and Firefox. Microsoft says that with simple code change, developers will be able to bring extensions available on chrome and Firefox to Edge.

This is Cool! Microsoft has been talking for months about its next internet browser, codenamed Project Spartan, but it’s only now given the product a name: Microsoft Edge. Microsoft Edge will be the only browser supported on Windows 10 mobile devices, though Microsoft will make both Internet Explorer and Microsoft Edge available to all Windows 10 devices for backwards compatibility.
