LG Mobiles has made official the next generation flagship phone, the LG G4. The phone is the successor of the popular G3 which was announced last year. The new flagship comes with 5.5 inch Quad HD 2560×1440 display with 534ppi and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop. Design wise, the phone has power and volume keys in the rear panel similar to the G3.

Unlike other flagship devices, the G4 does not run on Snapdragon 810, but it features the Snapdragon 808 hexa-core processor which is clocked at 1.8GHz and Adreno 418 GPU. The phone features 3GB of RAM and comes with 32GB internal storage which is expandable via micro SD card to 128GB.

LG has opted for a less powerful, but more power efficient Snapdragon 808 and the company claims the battery life is more than a day.

On the camera front, the device features a 16MP sensor with a wide f/1.8 aperture with dual-tone dual LED flash, laser autofocus module and optical image stabilization similar to predecessor. There’s 4K video recording, and improved sensor-based navigation, according to Qualcomm. The device comes with a 8MP front camera as well for selfies and video calls.

LG G4 rear

The rear panel does not feature the self healing back cover found on G Flex 2, but comes with a textured scratch resistant cover and also features leather back panels. The device is made of polycarbonate material. LG has a proprietary treatment to the leather that makes it more durable than the standard luxury goods.
