Lenovo Announces A7000 and Vibe Shot Crossover Smartphone

At the Mobile World Congress 2015 in Barcelona, Spain, Lenovo has announced two new smartphones, the A7000 and the Vibe Shot. The Vibe Shot is a new crossover smartphone which offers great camera experience along with smartphone capabilities. Lenovo’s first camera and smartphone crossover, the sleek and lightweight VIBE Shot is the ultimate smartphone for photos. It features a 5.0 inch Full HD display and is powered by 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 1.7GHz Octa Core with 3GB RAM.

There is 32GB of storage, 4G connectivity and the latest Android OS (5.0 Lollipop). The 16 megapixel rear camera includes an infrared autofocus feature with 6-piece modular lens and full-frame 16:9 low-light sensor to take sharp and steady photos, while a physical shutter button makes the phone feel more like a camera delivering the perfect shot every time.

On the other hand the A7000 is more mid range phone and comes with 5.5-inch HD (1280 x 720) IPS display and is powered by MediaTek MT6752m 1.5GHz True8Core processor with 2GB RAM and 8GB internal storage and is expandable via microSD card. On the camera front, there is 8MP auto-focus rear camera w/ LED flash and 5MP fixed-focus front camera. There is Android 5.0 and 2900mAh battery. It also has dual SIM card support along with 4G LTE.

Price and Availability:

The VIBE Shot will be available starting in June in countries where Lenovo smartphones are sold, starting at  $349 USD. The Lenovo A7000 smartphone will be available in March in countries where Lenovo smartphones are sold, starting at $169 USD. These devices could be coming to India pretty soon and expected to be priced Rs 21000 for Vibe Shot and Rs 10000 for A7000.
