Samsung has today announced two mid range phones in the A series, the Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A5 in India. The Samsung Galaxy A3 comes with a 4.5 inch qHD display with a resolution of 960 x 540 pixels and has a Super AMOLED display and it is powered by 1.2GHz quad-core processor with 1GB of RAM. There is 16GB internal storage which is expandable via micro SD card.
The device runs Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box with Samsung’s Touchwiz UI. There is also 4G LTE support available on the device. On the imaging aspect, the device has a 8MP rear camera with LED flash, 1080p video recording and 5MP front-facing camera.

The phone also comes with 1900mAh battery. The device resembles Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime (review) in the specs department.
Along with the Galaxy A3, Samsung also announced Galaxy A5. The A5 comes with better specs in the form of 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD Super AMOLED display and is powered by 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor with 2GB RAM. The device again comes with Android 4.4 (KitKat) with Touchwiz UI. The camera on the A5 is a 13MP shooter and a a 5MP front camera.
The A5 also supports 4G LTE in India like the Galaxy A3.

Samsung Galaxy A3 and the Galaxy A5 are priced Rs. 20,500 and Rs. 25,500, respectively and comes in Black, White and Gold variants. Both the devices would go on sale next week.
