ASUS Zenfone 2 is Official, 5.5 inch Full HD Display, 4GB RAM and 64 Bit Processor

At the CES 2015, ASUS has announced the second generation Zenfone, the ASUS Zenfone 2. Unlike the first generation, the Zenfone 5 comes with terrific specs and it features a 5.5 inch Full HD display and is powered by Super Quad Core 64 bit processors from Intel (Z3580) clocked at 2.3Ghz. There is also 4GB RAM available (depending on region, 2GB for certain markets). Zenfone 2 is the first smartphone to feature 4GB RAM.

The phone also comes with Android 5.0 Lollipop and on top of it, there is the improved Zen UI. Zen UI is one of the best custom UIs on any Android phone and the company has further enhanced it with gestures and new customization options.

On the imaging aspect, the phone comes with a massive 13MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and has laser auto focus like the LG G3. There is also 5MP front facing camera. Both the rear and front cameras have the pixel master technology of ASUS providing superior shots even in low light. The phone also supports 4G LTE.

Price and Availability:

The device is priced $199 and will be available in March 2015. We expect the device to come to India as well and the pricing might be competitive and could be well below the Rs 15000 price range for the base variant as ASUS has done great job with the current pricing of the Zenfones in India. The base model will probably have 2GB RAM and will be powered by Intel Atom Z3560 processor and 16GB internal storage.
