Wireless charging or Inductive charging uses an electromagnetic field to transfer energy between two objects. This has now become a new hot feature in smartphones. Quite a lot of new phones which were released last year and also released this year had wireless charging enabled. But as of now wireless charging is limited to high end smartphones like Nexus 4, Lumia 920, Galaxy S4 etc.

So presently this feature is a premium option. Moreover, as of now there is no manufacturer which ships the wireless charger along with the device. Currently almost all devices uses the Qi standard for wireless charging, so the wireless chargers are based on Qi standards. Recently we had reviewed the Brando’s wireless charging pad. Today, we will have a look at one of the premium wireless chargers available – TYLT Vu Wireless Charger.

Just plug the power cord to the back of the charger and you are ready to do. Place the phone on the Vu charger and the charging starts right away. There is an indicator at the bottom of the charger which shows the charging happening. Vu Charger automatically switches off once the charging is complete, so you can keep the phone on the charger over night.

Charging is pretty fast with the device, you can charger the phone from 0 to 100% per cent in some 2-3 hours. Overall, we found that the Vu charger performs really well and we used Nokia Lumia 920 for our tests.

Here is a quick video review of TYLT Vu;

Here is a comparison of TYLT Vu with Brando’s Wireless Charging pad.

As we said before the product was successfully funded on Kickstarter and now you can buy it online. The charger is priced at $69.99. Now coming to the price, the big question will be is it worth the money? If you are looking for a wireless charger, then probably this is the best you can pick. As we said before wireless charging is a luxury feature, but TYLT Vu is totally worth the money.
