To change the settings, navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Zune and create a key called FeaturesOverride. Within this key, create a DWORD for each feature you want to enable and set its value to 1.

To set a video as display picture, click on the current display picture on your Windows Live Messenger and this open up the window to change the display picture. Click on Webcam picture and this will start the webcam connected to your PC.

Click on “Record a video” option and it will record and save a 4 sec video using the webcam. You can preview the video before saving it.

Click done and this will set the recorded video as your display picture in Live Messenger. Apart from this you can also set a dynamic display picture. Setting dynamic picture means that the display picture will change based on the emoticons you are using while chatting. You can assign four different videos for each emoticons. You can record 5 videos (one video as default) and the videos will automatically change while chatting.

Click done and you can see the display picture changes when you use any of the emoticons above in the chat window.

To configure speed dial, right click on the vacant area in a new tab or click on the “configure Speed Dial” button available. This will open up the small options box where you can select the layout of the speed dials. There are 6 options available for customization.

Apart from this, you can also add a background image and also align it to the speed dial page.

NB: Please take a back up of registry before modifying it.

1. To Change the default settings, Click Start-> Run-> Regedit and this opens the registry editor.

2. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE-> SOFTWARE-> Microsoft-> Windows Live. Right click on the Messenger and select New-> DWORD (32 bit).

3. Enter the name of the new DWORD as MultipleInstances and value of this key as 1. Click OK and close the registry editor.

This registry hack will allow for multiple instances of Windows Live Messenger 9.0 (2009) to run simultaneously on the same computer. This hack will not allow multiple instances of Windows Live with the same Live ID.

The watermarking option has been moved from the effects section for images. To add a watermark to image, select the image and then select the advanced tab on the right hand side box. In the actions section, you can see a link for watermarking images.

Upon selecting the link, you can enter the text, its font, size and position of watermark.

You can save the watermark settings and this will make sure that all the images added to the Live writer will automatically have the watermark.

To remove the AVG registry entries, open Registry Editor (Start-> Run-> Regedit). In the registry editor, navigate to the entries mentioned below,

Once these entries are removed, Kaspersky installation will be completed normally. Alternatively you can also use the AVG cleaner or Kaspersky removal tool for AVG8.

To restart the Zune device, follow these steps:

1. First unlock the device using the sliding button on top of Zune.
2. Press and hold the Back button while you press the top of the Zune pad. (see the image below)

When you select this, you will be prompted with Paste Special option where you can select the formatting for pasting the content. The options shown here may vary depending on the content being pasted.

If you select the Keep Formatting option, all the existing formatting will be retained in Writer. This option is specially useful for pasting tables from Word document and web pages.

To search previously visited sites, type ‘Opera:historysearch’ in the browser’s address bar. A search window appears which is similar to Google search. Enter the keyword and press History Search.

Opera lists all pages which has the keyword and previously visited by you. Just like any other web pages, you can bookmark searched pages.

If history is cleared, then this search will not work.
