Once you open the Upload center, you can see all the documents uploaded to the SkyDrive.

You can right click on any document available and then click Save as to get a local copy of the document. You can also delete the document using this options.

You can change the display options from the settings menu. You can also change the cache size which is used for saving the documents.

Overall this is one good feature added to manage all the uploaded documents.

To change the theme, click on the file tab from any of the office application and select options in the File tab.

This will open up the options windows and select the General tab in the options and here you can see Color Scheme under User Interface Options.

Once you change the color scheme, all the Office 2010 applications will follow the same color scheme. You can change the color scheme from any Office 2010 application.

Accept the terms of the license agreement and click continue.

In the next step you will have two options, one to upgrade the current version or to customize the install. If you select Upgrade from this option, then your older version of Office will be replaced with the new Office 2010 beta.

Selecting Customize allows you to set your current version of Microsoft Office to coexist with Office 2010 Beta, with the exception of Outlook and SharePoint Workspace (formerly known as Microsoft Office Groove 2007). Outlook 2010 and SharePoint Workspace 2010 cannot coexist with previous versions on your computer, so you will need to select one version of the program to have installed on your computer.

Since Outlook 2010 cannot exist with previous version, you can have only one version. So if you do not want to upgrade to Outlook 2010, then unselect this from the installation options tab. Once you have selected the version click upgrade. You can also selectively upgrade using the third option available in the customize window.

Now Office 2010 will install on your machine with the option selected by you. Office 2010 Beta software will no longer function after October 31, 2010, If you had selected Upgrade to Office 2010 Beta directly instead of Customize to set the Beta to co-exist with your original Microsoft Office version during the download process, you will need to manually reinstall your previous version of Microsoft Office to resume your original setup.

To save the document to SkyDrive, click the File menu and select the share button.

Here you can see the option, Save to Skydrive. Once you select this, you will need to login to Skydrive, for that click the Sign In button.

Enter your Skydrive login credentials and once logged in the default folders are available in the options.

You can either create a new Folder or upload to public folder for sharing with others. Once you select the folder click on the Save As button below. Now you can see the status of document being uploaded to the server.

This feature is really useful for people who want to share their documents quickly.

This panel is called People Pane and in this panel, you can see an option for status updates.

To see different information for the person in the People Pane, click any of the tabs at the left side of the list window. There are six default tabs:

• All items This includes all activity and messages from the selected person.
• Activities This displays activity posted on the selected person’s social network sites, such as alerts, comments or messages.
• Mail A list appears of recent e-mail messages that you have exchanged with the selected person.
• Attachments Attachments that you have sent to or received from the selected person appear.
• Calendar Past and future meetings or appointments including both you and the selected person appear.
• Status updates This displays the most recent status updates that the selected person has posted.

If you want to add a new social network, click the add button below the profile image. Currently only SharePoint server is available for connect.

We might be able to see more network integration in future versions. You can also access the people pane from the view tab. Here you can minimize or turn off the pane.

Once you have installed the utility, you can create themes such that you have the same look across Office documents. you can customize every aspect of the theme like texts links, visited links, fonts etc.

The application requires .Net Framework 3.0 (Download) and  Office 2007 Primary Interop Assemblies (Download).

As you can see from the image, the search tools contain lost of options. You can either search the current folder, all sub folders or all Outlook items. In the search refine tools, you can refine your search with from, subject or mails having attachments, mails categorized, flagged, send to etc.

Outlook 2010 provides you with search keyword suggestions as son as you start tying any search term. You can narrow down your search using the keywords.

The  two new features that comes with Outlook 2010 search are the Search Contextual Tab in the Ribbon and the Search Suggestion List. You can customize the search options using the Outlook Search Options which can be opened from the search tools.

Overall Outlook 2010 is a power house of new features and will definitely change the way emails are being handled.

To add a new template, first create the table in word using your own formatting, cells and borders. Once you have created, select the table and then click on the Add Template button in the Addbits.com tab inside word. You will need to enter a name for the template you have created.

This will add the table you have created into the table template manager. Next time when you want to use the same table, click Table Manager button shown in the image above and this will open the table manager settings where you can select and preview the table templates saved.

You can select the table template and click add to have it on your Word document.

• Save the table format: borders style, colors, widths, etc.
• Save the text format, patterns, fonts and alignment of cells.

With the Word Table Template Manager you can take a new table template from one Microsoft Word document and use it in another. This add-in is free for non commercial use in Word. This add-in also supports Office 2010 apart from supporting Office XP, 2003 and 2007.

Once you mark the document as final, you will not be able to modify it and Word shows a warning at the top indicating that the document is final. Apart from this, you can also protect the document with password, digital signature or restrict changes. Click on the protect document button and select the suitable options.
