1. To Configure Signatures in Windows Live Mail, open your inbox and click on the Tools menu and select Options.

2. Select the Signatures tab in the options window and click New to add a new signature. You can type in the signature below in the Edit Signature. Make sure to check the box at the top indicating whether to add this signature to all outgoing emails.

3. Click on the Advanced button and select the account for which signature needs to the added.

4. Once completed, you can check the signature by clicking on the new email button.

To link text automatically, click on the Tools-> Options. In the options window, select the Auto Linking option.

Here you can add, edit or delete auto linking text. Clicking on the Add button pops up a new window where you can enter the link and the text for which the link has to be automatically added.

You can also specify to link to each term only once per post and also automatically link matching terms. Next time you start writing an article, WLW will automatically search for matching text and link based on your keywords.

1. First step is to get the WebDAV access address for your Skydrive account. For this there is a simple portable tool called SkyDrive Simple Viewer developed by Mike. Run the tool and login to your Skydrive and select the folder which you want to map.

In the image above, you can see an address corresponding to the folder I have selected. The address looks like this-

Here the sdfsd24645759 refers to the path which is the same as a personal sub domain when logging on to SkyDrive the normal way from your web browser. It can look like “http://cid-sdfsd24645759.skydrive.live.com/”. The sub domain cdckda refers to the your account and the folder you are trying to access.

2. Next step you need to make some modification to the URL.

Modified URL- \\cdckda.docs.live.net@SSL\sdfsd24645759\Documents

We are connecting using the SSL for Windows Live Skydrive.

3. Open Windows Explorer, right click on the Network and select Map Network Drive.

4. In the Map Network Drive option, enter the folder as \\cdckda.docs.live.net@SSL\sdfsd24645759\Documents. You can also chose to reconnect at Login and if you want to connect using multiple account, check the second box as well.

5. It will prompt you to enter the Windows Live credentials after attempting to connect to Skydrive.

Now the network drive will be connected and you can see the drive in Window Explorer.

Once the device is connected, open the device tab on the top navigation and the application checks for the installed software on your Zune and informs you about any updates available. You can also check this by navigating to Settings-> Device->Player Update.

Click on update button and make sure that your PC is connected to internet. Zune Software will download and install the latest firmware on your Zune. Do not disconnect the Zune until the update is complete.

The update may take several minutes. During this time, the Zune device may restart several times. This method applies to all versions of Zune players including Zune HD.

1. Download Gladinet Starter Edition (FREE Version). If you have a 64-bit OS, you will need to use the 64-bit installer, otherwise, the 32-bit installer is fine. The installation process is really simple and should only take a few minutes to run through so we will skip to the initial setup.

When installation finishes you will be prompted for license information, Click the I just want to use the free starter edition option and then click Next. Keep in mind the limit is not enforcing a total of 1000 file transfers, but rather you will not be allowed to simultaneously transfer 1000 files all at once such as a single drag and drop.

2. Register with Gladinet, this step is optional but it doesn’t hurt and could earn valuable offers in the future. Enter your email address and then click Next

3. Next select which online storage services you would like to add to your mapped network drive. There are many options, you can select Azure Blob Storage for now. It is easy to add others later.

4. For the General Settings page, if you are sitting behind a proxy server at work, you will need to change the proxy. Otherwise you can leave it as default or change it later. Once you are done with this final settings change, click Finish.

5. Your Gladinet Drive will pop up shortly after you click Finish. Double Click on the Azure Blob Storage folder icon to connect it to your Azure Blob Storage

You can get the Account Name and the Primary Access Key from your Azure Portal.

6. After the drive is mapped you will be prompted with the option to Backup your files now. You can select to do it now or Click Cancel to do it later.

That is it, your drive is mapped. From this point on you can easily drag and drop files to Windows Azure Blob Storage.

1. To revoke access to these application, log into your Flickr account and then navigate to this page.

2. Here you can see the list of all the services using your Flickr account with the current permissions.

3. Click on “Remove Permissions” link and this will revoke access to the particular application using your Flickr account.

1. To Revoke access login to your Twitter account, go to settings.

2. In the settings page, select the connections tab.

3. Here you can see the lists of all applications currently using your profile. Below each application, you can see a link called Revoke Access. Click on it to revoke access to your Twitter account.

Once you have revoked access to applications, it is better to change your password of Twitter account.

1. Open Active Sync on your Windows Mobile from the programs.

2. Click the link “Set up your device to sync with it”.

3. Enter your Google email ID and click next.

4. In the server address, enter m.google.com and click next. Check the box against “This server requires an encrypted (SSL) connection”.

5. In the next step, enter your login credentials, leave the domain blank, but in case it is not allowing without entering domain, you can enter it as google.

6. Next, choose the data you want to synchronize.

7. That’s it, Active Sync will try to synchronize Gmail with your Windows Mobile.

If you are using Google Apps, your administrator will first need to enable ActiveSync before you can take advantage of this feature.

When you are using Live Mail for the first time, it will ask you to configure email accounts. You need to enter your email ID and password.

If you have a Hotmail or Live ID, then you only need to enter the email and password, rest all configurations are done by the application. In case you are using Gmail or Google Apps account, you need to manually enter the POP or IMAP settings.

If you are using Hotmail or Live ID, the application will ask you to download the folders from Hotmail or Live account. This notification is shown on the top bar of the application.

Once the folders are downloaded, all you emails from Hotmail or Live ID will be available in Windows Live Mail. If you want to change or add new Hotmail or Live ID, you can do it easily by logging in on the top right corner of the application.

Now you can start using Windows Live Mail to sent and receive all you emails.

If you do not want to remove Family safety, you can log into the online service and change the settings. But if you are the only user accessing the PC, these settings might be annoying. You can either disable Family safety or uninstall Family safety using the steps below.

1. Disable Family Safety- To disable family safety service and also to stop from start up items, Click Start=> Run and type services.msc and click enter. This opens up the services under in Windows. Here you can see and entry by name “Windows Live Family Safety” which is enabled by default and loads at start up.

Select Startup Type as Disabled and also Stop the service in case it is already running. Click OK and apply the settings. This will disable Family safety unless you manually start the service.

2. Uninstall Family Safety: – If you are the only person using the PC, then it might make sense uninstalling the application which comes bundled with Windows Live Suite. Open Programs and Features (Control Panel=> All Control Panel Items => Programs and Features) and click on the Windows Live essentials and select Uninstall.

Click Continue and in the next Window, select Family Safety and then continue.

This will uninstall Family Safety from your computer.
