The scam mail asks users information about user ID, password, Date of Birth and country or territory.  Please be aware that Microsoft will never ask users about their account information in e-mail. The Live Hotmail team has written about this and also published the sample phishing email.

Contrary to some speculation, Microsoft is not creating a new kernel for Windows 7. Rather, we are refining the kernel architecture and componentization model introduced in Windows Vista. While these changes will increase our engineering agility, they will not impact the user experience or reduce application or hardware compatibility. In fact, one of our design goals for Windows 7 is that it will run on the recommended hardware we specified for Windows Vista and that the applications and devices that work with Windows Vista will be compatible with Windows 7

With this, we can expect Windows 7 to be much similar to Vista in UI, but feature wise nothing is known as of now.

Yahoo Messenger for Vista also feature Email alerts, by clicking on the alert you can directly go to read the mail. This feature can also be disabled in the preferences.

Apart from these features, the messenger has a new interface for Vista with skin chooser, tabbed Conversations and Customizable Contact List.

Once a device or PC is activated, users can set what folders from that machine they want to be stored online. If they update folder content in Live Mesh, devices and PCs on the mesh will be updated with the changes the next time they are connected to the Web. Similarly, if information is changed locally on the device, then once the device goes online again, folders will be synchronized across devices on the entire mesh.

Currently Mesh is not available for sign up as Microsoft has provided access to only 10000 people, but you can sign up and get an ID once more accounts are available. Mesh is available for Window XP and Vista and in future it would support Mac and mobile edition.

While this might seem like an arbitrary limit, we thought long and hard about how video would complement the flickrverse. If you’ve memorized the Community Guidelines, you know that Flickr is all about sharing photos that you yourself have taken. Video will be no different and so what quickly bubbled up was the idea of “long photos,” of capturing slices of life to share.

There is no mention about whether this feature will be made available to free users as well. Videos will have all the features of photo stream like tagging, privacy setting etc. Currently video will be available in 8 languages.

Flickr also announced that they would be doubling the size of photos that can be uploaded — 20MB per photo for pro members and 10MB per photo for members with free accounts.
