When this feature is enabled, you can see “Create a Document” link on the right hand side of the email when it is opened.

So you don’t have to take the pain to copy text from the email to the document and then saving it. To turn on this feature, go to the Gmail Labs tab under Settings, select "Enable" next to "Create a document" and hit "Save Changes" at the bottom.

In case you want to open a blank document from Gmail, the keyboard is G followed by W, make sure that keyboard shortcuts are enabled for Gmail.

There is nothing new feature available in this latest version, but Google says that it has better stability and performance of plug-ins. Google Chrome also got a bookmark manager and privacy controls recently. Google mentions that the goals for stability and performance have been met, but there is still room for improvement. Google says that Chrome will have form autofill and RSS support in the near future and also working on extensions.

To add an email to the task list, select the email and from the more actions menu, select Add to Tasks. You can also use the keyboard shortcut Shift+T if its enabled on your account.

Once the to do list is open, you can mark off completed items, rearrange your list, or perform all sorts of other functions.

Apart from the visual changes, there is also the collapsible navigation which is pretty good feature.

Some of the other changes are;

• The “Refresh” button from the subscription list is now in the Subscriptions options menu or triggered by simply clicking on the word “Subscriptions”
• The “Show all - updated” controls are now in the Subscriptions options menu.
• The “Add subscription” button has moved to the top of the navigation pane.

The pop-up blocker formerly just minimized pop-up windows to the lower right corner of the browser window, create one ‘constrained’ window for each pop-up. Now, Google Chrome displays one small notification in the corner that shows the number of blocked pop-ups. A menu on the notification lets you open a specific pop-up, if needed.

The themes are available under the setting menu and would be available for everyone in the coming days. The Gmail team has also given a facelift to Gmail’s default look to make it crisper and cleaner. Some theme have totally different Gmail logo to make it suit to the theme.

Once you install the plugin, to start a video chat, just click on the “Video & more” menu at the bottom of your Gmail chat window, and choose “Start video chat.” You’ll have a few seconds while it’s ringing, and then you’ll see and hear your friend live, right from within Gmail. You can click the “pop-out” icon to make the video larger, or click the full screen icon in the upper left-hand corner.

Voice chat can be started by clicking the “Start Voice Chat” option. You can download the Voice and Video chat plugin from here. This feature would be available in all Gmail and Google Apps accounts.
