The latest concept phone to have hit the web is a Windows mobile Solar powered phone. This latest mobile phone concept, the Eclipse Intuit, was dreamed up by Eddie Goh. This Windows Mobile device is powered by renewable energy source from Sun. The device is covered by chemical-based solar skin that helps top off the battery.

Just like any other concept phones, this is also packed with features. There’s a 5 MP camera, built-in software to edit and upload pictures to a photo album, and two full-body touch screens. The main touch screen is for display, while the second, slide-out touch screen panel serves as a touch-sensitive keyboard.

But having said all these, concept is always concept and we may not see this phone in real world.

Intel will be rolling out its first dual core Celeron in this month. It runs at 1.6 Ghz with 512 MB L2 cache and an 800 Mhz FSB. The chip inside is known as Celeron E1200. This is a good speed Celeron processor and Intel plans to roll out another version of Celeron in Q2 this year which has a better speed.

The latter one will have a dual core Celeron E1400 which has a speed of 2Ghz. There is no change in other specification as cache and FSB remain the same.

This new chip will be based on Intel’s 65nm process technology and will have a thermal rating of 65w. Intel Intelligent Power Capability, a feature of the Intel Celeron dual-core processor, optimizes energy usage in the processor cores by turning computing functions on only when needed.

Intel is selling the Celeron Dual-Core E1200 chips for US$53 each, in quantities of 1,000 units.

N82 features a 5MP camera along with build in GPS navigation and host of other features which are available in N95. One of the best things about N82 is that its much compatible than N95 and also a candy-bar shape design which makes the device feel less bulky.

The specifications of N82 are;

Dimensions: 112 x 50.2 x 17.3 mm

2.4? TFT Display,16M colors

5 Megapixel camera with autofocus

GPRS, EDGE, 3G, WiFi

Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP

Symbian OS 9.2

GPS navigation

3.5 mm jack,TV out

The 5MP camera is similar to N95 with Carl Zeiss lens which can capture MPEG-4 VGA video at 30fps. The best part of camera is the addition of xenon flash which was missing in N95 (N95 had a LED flash). K850i from Sony Ericsson also features this Xenon flash.

The display of N82 is also good, the screen is 2.4-inch compared to the 2.6-inch screen on N95. Coming to the keyboard, this one one aspect which is disappointing. The keys are small and difficult to handle and is similar to the one in N73.

Feature wise, N82 is packed with all the applications and comes with a full fledged web browser, email, calendering, maps etc. One of the problems with earlier N-series phones were that they were pretty slow to respond. N82 has a much improved processor and works well, although at times, it gets slow.

N82 looks very much similar to N73 and there has been no significant change in design, this is one area where Nokia could improve. Apart from the average keypad and design, N82 is packed with features to be the next winner in N-Series. N82 is priced around Rs. 21000/- (1USD=39INR).

Given the price and features, N82 is a good phone and if you have money go for it.

With 2GB and 4GB USB drives being common and if you are still falling short of memory, here is the secure 8GB USB drive from Kingston. The Kingston 8GB data traveler is enabled with Secure Privacy edition software which is one of the unique features of this USB drive.

This is claimed to be the world’s first USB Flash drive that secures 100 percent of data on-the-fly via 256-bit hardware-based AES encryption. It is specifically designed to meet enterprise-level security and compliance requirements, the DTSP (Data Traveler Secure Privacy) is ideal for organizations looking for an efficient, cost-effective method of securing data.

Features of this model are;

256 bit Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) hardware-based encryption.

Good speed of read/write.

Strong password protection.

No application installation by user

Water proof material.

Password is needed to make the drive available in My Computer page.

3 unsuccessful attempts to login will lock the drive (can be used again with formating).

Features wise its far superior to other models in the market with same capacity. Now coming to the price, 8GB DTSP edition is priced near to 12000/-INR (1INR= 39USD). At this price, its definitely expensive especially when 8GB normal drives are available for under 5ooo/-
