Truecaller is one of the most popular caller identification app available across multiple platforms and the company has announced a new messaging app for Android phones called TrueMessenger. The TrueMessenger app is an SMS replacement app for Android phones and the company is looking to make messaging social with this app.
Truemessenger tells you who sent you that SMS (even if they are not in your contacts) similar to Truecaller and automatically blocks spam, keeping your Inbox safe and clean.
The app uses the same principle of blocking spam and unwanted SMS on your phone. It will identify the sender and see if it is spam and also labels the person as spam. You can also create your own rules for blocking SMS and marking a person as spam. Similar to Truecaller, the messaging app also assigns photos, nicknames and other information from Facebook, so you have all the details of the person. This app makes the SMS option more social
Here is a quick video on Truemessenger.
Features of Truemessenger:
- SMS ID: Identify the sender, even contacts not in your phonebook
- Block SMS: Avoid messages from unwanted numbers and contacts
- Report Spam: Help the community outsmart common spammers by reporting them
- Clean Inbox: Automatically sends spam messages to a separate folder
- Advanced Filter Options: create customized filters with known spam keywords or number series (area codes or country codes)
