Instagram is one of the most popular image sharing service with apps available for iOS and Android. Although the app was launched for iOS, it later expanded to Android and then released a web interface. But if you want to upload videos you need to use either the Android or iOS app. Today, Facebook has announced a new feature for Instagram- Videos. You can now upload videos on Instagram from the Android and iOS app. The videos uploaded can be 15 sec in duration. This is a direct competition to the Vine service from Twitter, which allows you to upload a 6 sec video from its iOS app. But unlike the Vine app, Instagram videos have quite a lot of features included.
Adding new videos is pretty simple and similar to uploading photos. Capture the video for 15 sec and then apply the filters and upload it online from the new Instagram for Android and iOS.
When you upload the video, you can capture multiple clips and then combine together to make the 15 sec video. You can then select the filter to apply from new 13 filters added for videos. Once you have applied the filter, you can select the cover frame for the video instead of the default image. Nt only this, there is also another important feature called Cinema, which when used reduced the shakes in the video. Often when capturing videos on mobile phones, you end up with videos which are shaky, but with Cinema, you can remove them.
The interface has also gone in for a small change with the new video icon and the ability to start recording the video clips. The video clips will can be shared to social sites like Twitter and Facebook. You can also easily view the Instagram videos on Facebook timeline as well.

The app is available for download for iOS and Android.
