When we talk about tech giants, five companies come to our mind- Microsoft, Apple, Google, Amazon and Facebook. Microsoft has been trying different products like the recently launched Surface, but their primary revenue is from Windows and Office. Apple on the other hand, has had tremendous success with iPhone and iPad in the last 3 years or so. Google, which started as a search engine has expanded vastly and Android has been one of the key factors. Amazon also entered hardware with various models of Kindle launching last year. Facebook, although relatively small focuses on social networking with rumors on launch of Facebook phone.

After becoming the world’s most valuable company in 2012, Apple is having a serious drop in late 2012 and entering 2013, despite strong earnings and high expectations. Google showing steady rise with its profit. So how are these tech giants performing, how much is the revenue, profit and market cap of these companies?
