Apple iOS6 Direct Download Links
Apple had announced that the final version of iOS6 would be made available on September 19th. This was announced during the iPhone 5 event and the new iPhone will ship with iOS6. There are many new features and improvements in iOS when compared to previous versions. The new features include new Maps, improved Siri (personal voice assistant), Facebook integration which allows you to share anything to Facebook right from the OS, shared photo streams, Passbook, new FaceTime over cellular network, new Email app, Safari etc.
The final version of iOS6 is now available for download.
You can connect your device to iTunes and then start the upgrade process. The new iOS6 is compatible with the following devices. Apple has left out iPad first generation from the upgrade.

In case you are facing issues downloading the update using iTunes, you can try the direct download links. Make sure that you download the right firmware for your device. Once you have downloaded the IPSW file on to your desktop, connect the device to iTunes and press Shift+Restore for Windows or Option+restore Mac and then select the IPSW file.
