Nokia has demoed a new app during the Windows Phone developer summit which allows users to keep track of their monthly calls, messages and also data usage. This app is pretty good when you are on limited plan with limited number of calls, SMS and also data. Nokia has now made available the beta version of this app for all Lumia users. Counters app tracks your Data, Messaging and phone consumption and alerts you once you’ve gone over the limit.
You can set the limit for each item and also specify the date when you want to reset the counters (probably start of every month or your billing day). You can also check who are the contacts which are used most frequently on your phone.
The app is still in beta and you need to have a Nokia account for downloading it.
Known limitations/issues:
- there are no notifications when set limit is achieved (will come later)
- conference calls are not counted properly
- not possible to set data limit counter with a fractional part (i.e. not possible to set 1.5GB limit)
