Nokia Play To- Share Picture and Videos to DLNA Capable Devices

Ever since the release of Nokia branded Windows Phone 7, there has been many app released by Nokia exclusively for Lumia series phones. We had covered Creative Studio app, to edit images and apply filters on your phone as well as Nokia transport. Nokia has now released a beta version of Play To app, which is a free application for Nokia Lumia phones using which you can show pictures and videos wirelessly on other DLNA capable devices (TV’s, BlueRay players, Mediaplayer in Windows 7, etc.) connected to their network.

As of now the support is only for pictures and videos, ability to stream music will be added later. The app is currently in beta and Nokia is requesting Lumia users to provide feedback on the app and also submit bugs.

How to Install Play To;

On your desktop browser, open this link http://betalabs.nokia.com/InstallNokiaPlayTo and then press the Search button on your Lumia phone and then tap Vision icon. This will scan the QR code and open the direct link to marketplace.

But if you’re browsing this page on your Nokia Lumia phone, you can install Nokia Transport Beta from the Windows Phone Marketplace.  (Note: opening the Marketplace link on a desktop browser will give the error “App not found”.)
