Opera Mobile is a popular web browser for most of the mobile platforms and recently Opera had updated the Opera mini for iOS devices including iPad. But if you are a web developer and want to check the website rendering on various mobile platforms, you can use the desktop emulator for Opera Mobile. It’s a small, native application that’s easy to install on your desktop machine and runs exactly the same code as its mobile phone version.
Once you install the app, it opens with a launcher which shows difference instances of Opera Mobile 11 on your desktop to accurately test different phone configuration. You can select your phone from the list and specify the other parameters like resolution, pixel intensity etc.
The Opera Mobile Emulator renders pages as close as you can get to how it would look on a real phone. You can also get to see the various feature available in the mobile version. There are also command line parameters available for the application.
