We have covered free tools like ArduoPdfMerger, PDF Merge and Pdftk to split merge, encrypt and decrypt PDF files. PDF Exploiter is a freeware tool which can be used to split, merge, encrypt, decrypt and watermark PDF files. The interface of PDF Exploiter is simple and also has good features. There are five tabs available in the application and each one does one function. The grouping of features into tabs makes it easier to find options in the utility.
The watermarking tool has mainly three options, one is using an image, second one a text and third one using a PDF file as a watermark.
If you are splitting PDF files, you can either split by number of pages or a range of pages. The utility actually opens the PDF in Adobe Reader inside the application, so in case you have not installed Adobe reader, you cannot use this tool.
