Microsoft’s Antivirus suite OneCare was discontinued long back and MSFT was working on a new AV solution codenamed Morro. Microsoft has stated that Morro would be available by the end of 2009 at the latest. The product is after a beach in Brazil by name Morro. Morro is a free Anti virus from Microsoft which is compete with the low end of anti-virus products. Neowin has got screenshots of the Antivirus Morro which is from an internal build being tested by Microsoft employees.

Experts say that the Microsoft’s free product is basically a stripped down version of the OneCare product Microsoft and intended for low end users. From the screenshots which are available now it looks like a simple product with UI in tune with Windows 7. The UI is made very simple and easy to use.

We will have to wait and see what all features Morro has to offer to beat the competition.
