The Conficker worm, also known as Downadup surfaced last November and has already infected thousands of business networks and PCs. Conficker worm is supposed to exploit PCs on April Fool’s Day. We had already written about McAfee Avert® Lab’s Stinger Conficker removal tool. Sophos also has a Conficker removal tool which will allow you to detect, isolate and, then, of course, remove the Conficker virus from a PC.

The tools is available as a standalone and a network version. The standalone version is to remove Conficker from one or more single computers. The network version allows to remove Conficker from an infected network.
