Freebyte Backup is a freeware backup program for Windows. This application has the feature of easily copying a large number of files and directories from various sources into one backup directory. It is possible to backup all files found in a specific directory, or to have only certain file types copied. The utility also has filters by which you can filter files according to file-extensions.
Back ups can be made using the incremental back up option by which the program only copies files which have not yet been saved by Freebyte Backup. You can also filter incremental back up with a specific date. You can also schedule back ups with this utility.
Another good feature of this utility is that it gives detailed report on the back up status. For each file we can see can see if the ‘backup status’ is ‘copied’, ’skipped’ or ‘failed’. One can also see the file size, the file date, the source and target locations, the total number of files copied, and the total number of bytes copied.
