Binny, Freelance Web Developer and my good friend, is on a mission of developing one Wordpress plugin a day for a week. He has developed five Wordpress plugins this week. The plugins developed by him are- Eventr, AutoFields, Pollin, Surveys and Quartz Wordpress plugin. Eventr plugin is the best plugin to create an event on your blog. You can create an event and the plugin will let people sign up for the event. It can also show a list of all the attendees and once the event is done, you can deactivate the event.
AutoFields Plugin will auto fill an excerpt for the post and also add an Image custom field based on the data in the editor. This plugin will get the first paragraph of the content as the excerpt and take the first image, if any and set it as the custom field. This is a very useful plugin for theme developers to get the excerpt and image.
Pollin wordpress plugin allows you to create polls on your blog and visitors can cast their votes on the polls.
The Surveys WordPress plugin lets you add surveys to your blog which can be controlled from the admin panel. The users after taking the survey can enter their details.
Quartz Plugin lets you show random quotes/tips/links/pictures/something else to visitors which can be added from the admin side. Quotes can be added one by one or you can bulk import the stuff from a text file.
