Best Post Summary is a new Wordpress plugin released by Aseem from OnlineTechTips. This plugin automatically generates a summary post of your best posts over a specified period of time based on the most popular posts in terms of number of comments or number of visits. The plugin has lots of customization options to show the top posts including post titles with or without post content, the sort order of the posts, and the formatting of the post.

You can select the post frequency, number of posts and also categories. Option to select multiple categories are available and also the number of words for content in each post. The criteria for top posts can be either comments or popularity [requires popularity plugin].

The best advantage of this plugin is that it will create a summary of the top posts for any month [if option selected is month], or at the start of every week[if weekly option is selected] automatically at the end of each month or week, so there is no manual work required. The plugin also supports basic tags like blog name, date, month, year etc. You can also specify the post template if you are good in CSS or else you can use the default template.
