Microsoft PDC 2008 is showcasing Windows 7, the latest Windows OS. Windows 7 is being demonstrated and also new user interface enhancements are introduced. The new Windows 7 desktop has many changes compared to Vista. It features a a thicker taskbar, improved system tray and no sidebar.     Looks slow.. I dont even want to imagine what kind of a resource hogger that UI would be..
    I may be one of few people who would like speed/power rather than looks/design.
    What I have seen so far of windows 7 is nothing more than some lame UI ss’s, I mean is thats all you want from an OS why not just download a theme for XP, you can download themes looking almost identical to that online or you can download a version of Mac OSX. I’d rather see windows create an open source OS or an OS made for gamers/programers, or people who could care less about looks.
    I mean we have the unix/linux OS’s but those are made with imited resources, but made successful due to the open source, think of what microsoft can create with their founding and the help of open source.
