Zoho has rolled out its webmail application Zoho Mail, which was currently in private beta.  Although there are lots of webmail services, Zoho has some great features to offer which promises to make it a good email service. One of the important features of Zoho mail is that it supports offline mode. So if you have installed Google gears on Internet Explorer or Firefox, then you can read through the mails even if there is no Internet connection.

Another feature of Zoho is that it supports folders, unlike Gmail which uses labels, Folders has its own advantages. Zoho mail also has label support along with folders. The interface of Zoho mail is pretty fast loading. In Zoho Mail,  conversations, responses are listed hierarchically so that you can look at a conversation and visually see who responded to whom. This is a good feature which is currently not available in any webmail. Zoho mail also has an integrated chat. The chat service is integrated with other applications like Zoho Business, Zoho Docs etc. The chat window is placed at the bottom and has a contact search form as well.

The best feature of Zoho mail is obviously the offline support with the help of Google Gears. Once you permit, your mails will be accessible offline. You can choose to download images & attachments as well in the offline mode.

Zoho Mail automatically detects your connectivity and switches to online/offline modes seamlessly. While offline, you can view your emails as you would normally. A new mobile version optimized for iPhone is also released. Zoho also allows personalized email addresses based on your own domains.

Zoho Mail definitely looks promising with few of its unique features and worth a try.
