Yahoo has re branded the IndexTools which it had acquired in April as Yahoo’s Web Analytics tool. Yahoo has made it a free service and is currently in beta, so it is not available to all users. One of the major advantage of Yahoo Analytics is that the visitor data is updated in a few minutes unlike Google Analytics which takes almost upto 24 hours to show the actual results.

The dashboard and the reports look clean and neat and easily readable. According to a Yahoo’s Corporate blog the updated version of the service is already available for advertisers and third-party application developers, with Yahoo Small Business users to follow. Normal user might get this service only in 2009.
