Dropbox, an online file sharing and backup services, is now out of beta and available for public. Dropbox was launched in March 2008 and we had reviewed it previously. Now everyone is welcome to download the free software (2GB space) and try it out. Dropbox is a cross-platform tool which makes it easy for users of multiple computers and operating systems to keep their files backed up and in sync.

Dropbox has seen lot of improvements and now the web interface has an Ajax enabled features. Another good feature of Dropbox is that it will sync only files which are added new, this will save bandwidth by unnecessarily uploading other files which are already in sync. Next week, everyone will be able to buy a 50GB Dropbox for $9.99/month, or $99.99/year. There is always the free 2GB accounts will always be free, and you can keep the amount of space you had in the beta.

Dropbox is really a good service and worth trying one. Dropbox is also supported on Apple Mac.
