Sony Ericsson XPERIA X1 has been in rumors ever since the release date was announced to be second half of 2008. Two times it was rumored that XPERIA was delayed till 2009 and both times Sony Ericsson has dismissed the rumors. The latest rumor was that XPERIA was having problems with Windows Mobile 6.1 OS. Setting rumors aside X1 actually seems to be ready to hit the market, as Sony Ericsson has announced today the release of its SDK (Software Developers Kit).

The SDK will allow developers and mobile phone users to create personalized panels for the X1. With the release of SDK we can hope that XPERIA could be right on track for release soon.
