When uploading photos to Flickr there is option to turn off different sizes of photos. The disadvantage with this is that when you download the photos, it will not be of actual size. Get Flickr is a simple script which gets the URL of the photo with its actual size. It allow you to retrieve original photos from Flickr using the public API.

To get the actual photo, check the URL of the photo and there will be an ID which corresponds to the image. Copy and paste the Flickr Photo ID in Get Flickr. The photo ID would be eight digits long. After pasting the number below, press “Get URL” and you will get the direct URL to the original size of the photo you want to see on Flickr.

For example, if the photo URL is flickr.com/photos/username/45676782/, then the eight digits following the username is the Photo ID.

If you don’t want people to get the actual photo, then its better to make the photos private, as private photos cannot be fetched this way. Although its possible to get the Flickr photo URL from the source of the website, this method is much easier as you only have to insert the photo ID.
