Monthly Round Up- August 2008

After a gap of almost one year we are back with monthly round up on Life Rocks 2.0. August was really good on Life Rocks or we must say it was the best month till date with maximum traffic and maximum revenue. The increase in traffic over the previous month was really huge and our main source of traffic was search engines.

The above figure shows the traffic for the month of August 2008. The main traffic sources was search engines, which contributed to almost 77%, followed by social media and referral sites (17%) and direct referral at 6%. We published 97 posts in August and many of them were picked up by top blogs like Life Hacker and Download Squad. We also crossed 2000 subscribers in August.

Plans for next month- We are planning to move to VPS in 2-3 days time, in fact we have already done the purchase. Bluehost was able to support most of the high traffic with the help of cache plugin, still there were instances of downtime and CPU exceeded errors. Apart from this there are some plans for some changes which we will disclose at a later point of time.
